American Soldier

a. I think the most powerful image is the photo of Ian Fisher getting baptized because i think that soothed his moms heart and gave a little more protection and courage while he was in the Army.

b. All of these images told a story from the moment before he started the Army, to the very ending when Ian went to Iraq.  All of these images told a small part as to what Ian went through and the problems he faced while in the Army.

c. The captions really showed me what was happening, where, and the problems that were being faced. Which helped me understand the story better.

d. Ian Fisher went into the Army in 2007 for training and faced a lot of training and duties while in the Army.  Ian started out as a kid with a drug addiction and going to parties all the time, but i feel that while he was in the Army it made him who he is today and disciplined him to be a man. Fisher finished the Army in 2009 in Iraq.

e. The verbs were usually described in present tense throughout the captions.

f.
1. there are about 2-3 sentences in each caption.

3. In the second couple of sentences it usually is describing the problem, situation, or consequence Ian has to face.
4.  The third sentence usually includes evidence of a quote.
5. Yes, many captions includes quotes from that moment and explain what Ian is thinking about or has to say.
6. Yes, there are a few that include 4 sentences, but not a lot.

h. Because the story may include better understanding and details in it. That the pictures and captions don't have.
