1) The advantage of a higher ISO at a football game or sport event is the photos will become more brighter which is good if you're in a dark enviorment.
2) The author says to use it when there is plenty of light and the author said that even in dim or dark enviorments you may still be able to use low ISO. And "if your camera does use a long shutter speed, anything that is moving will look like a ghost."
